What will be market cap of SpaceX when it goes IPO? I think they are making tons of progress with Starship which will open new revenue opportunities. Of course is the Elon risk with everything.
Won't IPO and shouldn't IPO anytime soon. Space exploration needs a certain level of risk appetite which will be difficult for a public company. Elon knows that way too well.
Companies do IPO not because of being risky/non risky but because they need to raise capital. SpaceX doesn’t need it so far since Elon can sell Tesla shares to fund SpaceX projects.
I know but what I meant is that going IPO is only for those companies with predictable quarters which means risk appetite is usually low. It's about consistently delivering results. SpaceX is too early in that.
10T+ if they get to Mars.
Are there dollar printers on Mars? Space exploration is not commercially viable. You know what year the lunar mission was, right? It was government funded and nobody repeated it just because it’s a waste of money.
What happens to Tesla when SpaceX goes IPO?
Tsla already going down!
Why would SpaceX IPO? They don’t need to raise money, and the current investors don’t want to sell. Also becoming public adds a lot of public disclosure and regulation. Elon doesn’t want that.
The clowns that are voting bankrupt need to understand that we have the one of the strongest moats of any tech company. SpaceX is basically a monopoly when it comes to launch and will soon be the same for satellite internet.
FYI: 2022 revenue $4.6B 2023 revenue $8.7B
