Obviously, I do not think the two are friends , nor do I have or care about any conspiracy story, but given how The Fed & Jerome Powell has done to the American Economy (stating inflation is transitory when it is so obvious to pretty much everyone else that it is not, raising rate regardless of what that means to job market, and now layoff after layoff after layoff in tech industry, Silicon Valley Bank, and more to come?), is it not rational to say Putin would enjoy watching it very much? Is it not fair to say Putin would LOVE to see Jerome being in the position for as long as he can? Below a link from 3 1/2 years ago. Funny how applicable it still is today (well, in some people's opinion, especially those that got laid off or will be laid off) https://www.cnbc.com/2019/08/14/trump-hammers-clueless-jay-powell-rails-against-crazy-inverted-yield-curve.html #siliconvalleybank #meta #google #intel
We just pushed the economic pain from 2020 to 2023 with the low interest rates during pandemic
I think he’s aware but this is small potatoes in terms of western economic backslides over the past year. Rapid dedollarization, deindustrialization, NATO totally hosed from Ukr and under constant protests in EU, increasing rejection of predatory WB/IMF loans by African countries - all of these are far greater threats to US hegemony (and all US-caused) and are prob more interesting to him. I think the ongoing historical process of Eurasian integration is infinitely more interesting to him.
This article is from 2019…
Exactly!! And it applies today!
I suggest you putting that as a note in your main post so people don’t get confused.
Hmmm wonder who removed some of the Dodd Frank protections a few years ago?
Exactly
Let me guess? That Draft Dodger? Yeah..
What would you have us do to decrease inflation?
Powell has no power. He is obviously being forced to raise rates. Inflation started in 2020 but he "waited" until 2023. Hmm... War is the real driver of inflation. WW3 is well underway. We are just observing afar for now.
Powell has the power he has. Waiting was his power , so he did as you also mentioned. If you were Putin, would you be happy or unhappy about USA having Jerome Powell as the head of Fed?
Putin would not care what figurehead leads the Federal Reserve.
Jesus. How old are you and how many recessions have you been through? Unemployment is still near 3.5% stop living in a bubble.
So you're happy that the US economy is shifting away from tech innovation, going into hospitality? Nothing wrong with hospitality, but hey I thought Blind is mostly tech workers, whose jobs is to help US having an edge on technology, no?
Tech unemployment is 2.2% vs national average of 3.6%. The US isn't shifting away from tech innovation but instead big tech is realizing they over hired, and culling the pandemic fueled hoarding of talent. Such talent will go on to other sectors that desperately need tech innovation.
Powel should be laid off honestly.
You cannot fight inflation with killing demand. You need to fix supply side. Biden is a moron to pick a fight with Russia. The oil supply choke and china trade wars is causing a rise in inflation. To reduce inflation you need to flood the market with cheaper products that is increasing the supply. This is an orchestrated action as part of great reset where "you will own nothing but you will be happy". Hope it rings bell to you all. In the end middle will become poorer and rich will become richer. That is what is happening with layoffs, the elites want complete control.
This time everybody may become poorer. The middle will be hit first. Would they be picking fights everywhere if things were awesome? The mega bubble since the departure from the gold standard will eventually end.
That is true. The figurehead is never important. People are lame.
Rather vague post.
as vague as Intel's ability to catch up with TSMC? enjoy your EID, intel! (TSMC is a Taiwanese company, no diversity there, FYI)
Apple - chill dude. Intel stinks right now. Big whoop. This joke is old.
