I'm a junior graduating 2025 and this is my final internship and I'm prioritizing resume value, new grad comp (all of they pay fuck you money for the internship so IDRC tbh), company culture, job stability (Don't wanna get laid off). My endgame is just retiring early and or getting a MBA from a M7 program to pivot to consulting. Bloomberg pays 58/hr - includes corporate housing Uber pays 52/hr - Will either be in SF, Sunnyvale, or Seattle - No corporate housing #engineering #software #swe #intern #offerevaluation
Bloomberg for way more stability… don’t mess this up
Uber. Way better resume value in tech. Finance -> go to Bloomberg
Usually I'd vote Uber but they lay off too often
Bloomberg for stability for sure and decent comp. However you are a new grad and I'd recommend trying out a company like Uber and taking more risk for internship. Also Bloomberg does not rehire if you leave so it's more ideal after you've explored a bit.
well i've already signed my bloomberg offer so i would be reneging for Uber
Then why ask
bloomberg is a fortress.
Uber isn't reliable. They rescind, the culture isnt great It was prestigious a decade ago, I'm not sure there's much resume upside vs Bloomberg to justify the risk difference now
Market is really bad especially for new grads, ride it out at Bloomberg for the next few years until things get better and then switch
Bloomberg. You wont have to worry about getting laid off.
You have the worst end game plan imaginable. You should pick Bloomberg to really stick to making the worst career choices
LOL @ endgame being "retiring early". Just like that. LMAO I remember when I was like this and I wouldn't change a thing.
@Tesla , ig it's pretty vague yeah, ig i mean more get into a frank niu situation bc i think being a part time highschool math teacher would be chill if i didn't have to worry about money
