I am in 40s and traveling to India from US takes a toll on me. Not so much when I am traveling to India, it’s easier in India to control jet lag as it’s sunny and then you get busy with family etc. But after coming back to US to cold weather the jet lag hits bad. It takes 7-10 days for me to settle back and head feels so heavy in the afternoon. How to treat this jet lag after coming back to USA, any trial and tested methods? Any suggestions on how to control the jet lag and make it better faster will be really helpful, thank you folks! #India #travel TC:300K

You need to get on the schedule of the country you land in asap. You can do this by getting a lot of sunlight in your eyes which will tell your brain to adjust the clock and by sticking to the meal schedule of that country which will tell your second brain aka the gut what time it is.
1 or 2 days just before leaving India, start switching your schedule
Try landing in southern states and spend first few days there because of mostly sunny weather.
jet lag is cured by grounding. upon arrival put bare feet on the ground or if close to water then under some waves and on sand is most effective

Try to adjust your sleep cycle on the flight back. Sleep when it's night in the US despite whatever time you board. At least take several naps. And don't drink booze while you fly.
