Anyone know much about them? A recruiter reached out asking me to apply. Seems like a ML/AI Hedge Fund. They also said they would match my highest offer in all cash. College Senior so TC: 0
In general finance is not worth it if they're matching tech. The whole point is to get way more, potentially taking a cut of the firm's PnL. Ask for 1m and see how they respond
Voleon is like tier 3 finance, I wouldn’t take it over Amazon especially for merely matching your offer
I work there, and I think it's great, but it's not for everyone. Do you want to work at a small place? Do you think you could learn from the people you meet there? Do you think you'd enjoy the work? I'd ask those sorts of questions first. Also, I think you may have misunderstood the recruiter.
