Job Hunting Optimized: How to find open positions?
I have uploaded my resume and set up alerts on LinkedIn, indeed and glassdoor. Linkedin recommends appropriate jobs, indeed and glassdoor recommendation engines are broken. They have been sending jobs that dont match my background. Some companies dont post their jobs on linkedin or indeed. They post it only on the company’s website (career page). What are folks doing to find open positions? Going to each companies website and checking for new job postings every week is not scalable. Highly appreciate if you can share any tips
Gotta stop using indeed. We block super appliers and heavy users as spammers on behalf of employers.
Okay. Myself and most people dont use indeed because it sucks. After I have registered and applied for several jobs as a software engineering manager, indeed recommends pharmacist, helpdesk and receptionist positions to me 😳
Indeed scrapes then asks to post jobs from that company. If the company doesn’t want their jobs on Indeed they can tell Indeed to stop, so then you won’t see those jobs on indeed.
