I held 4 jobs in 11 YOE. I want to jump to a higher level again. Am I considered a job hopper by hiring managers and getting rejected? TC 340k
Last 5 jobs covering a 9 year span Current - 1 year, looking to jump ship from the 'Zon for obvious reasons 1.5 years 3 years 8 months (contract role) 2.5 years I'm in 3 interview loops right now (security, not SWE) so obviously even if I'm a job hopper they don't care.
This is perfectly normal tenure in my book - not even questionable as job hopping. I think the sweet spot is 2.5-4 years per company. More than 5 is also a bit of a flag to me unless someone has had significant upward trajectory - even then you start running the risk of someone only knowing how to be successful in one environment.

1 vs 5 Million - no lifestyle change
Other opinions may vary, but if you have an average tenure of >2yrs, then it's not even borderline.
Average tenure is 11/4=2.75 years.
