This article says - The ‘Great Resignation’ is now the ‘Great Regret’: 80% of job hoppers wish they hadn’t quit their old roles, with Gen Z the most regretful. I think they are over exaggerating the impact of layoffs. What do you think? https://finance.yahoo.com/news/great-resignation-now-great-regret-163652541.html
I regret not hopping
I’m about to hop one
I don't regret it. Even though I'm not at one of the highest-paying companies, I received a significant pay bump. On top of that my previous company keeps having layoffs and I'm pretty sure I would've been on the chopping block. 😬
“Yet for those who did jump ship for better pay and work-life balance, the vast majority admitted they still want their old roles back.” I’ve made two hops in the past two years and don’t regret either. 2.1x TC with a better resume.
Literally every post where people ask for advice from others based on their experience, first point is I wish I hopped sooner or more times .. that's how tech works
I want to hop to the job where people get to write articles like above on whatever they feel like

Doubled my TC, learning much more, and wlb the same so no regrets
Doubled by joining jpmc? Didn’t know they’re high paying. TC?

I don't regret it. Doubled my tc and even if I get laid off I have awesome projects and name recognition on my resume.
