Just encouraging everyone to keep your foot on the gas pedal looking for new opportunities. This year has been unbelievable. Not long ago, no one would look at me. My TC was $70k > $85k > $110k > $145k base salary Yes that’s a lot of switches, but who wouldn’t keep switching for consistent ~$30k raises? Keep your foot on the gas pedal people. Now is the time to get paid what you’re worth. Being afraid of looking like a job hopper is no excuse for not doubling your compensation. Started as a Marketing Coordinator in January, just got offered a Senior PMM role. It’s only November. Role: Senior PMM TC: Don’t know how to calculate my equity yet, but $145k base with very generous benefits (bonus, 401k match, stock options) #tech
How long was ur tenure between roles?
3 years > 1 month > 6 months > 3 months Some of those are half months
Congrats! I switched jobs thrice this year and tripled my TC
Gas on the fire!
Cool, good job btw! Congrats!
The hell. Are you just going to hide your tiny stints on your resume
Hasn’t stopped me from getting new positions so far 🤷🏼♂️
You don't have to have everything on your resume
Congrats! Just leave the jobs you bailed on off your resume, no one needs to know.
How do you not get burnt out from all those interviews ? I have given 6 onsites in a month and I feel the fatigue 😓
Remote interviews only. Do enough of them and it becomes second nature - just gotta get through the first few and learn to not treat them so seriously. So many opportunities with remote interviews these days.
Thank you for this ! I let the feedback and rejections affect me. I got 3 offers but I got sad over 3 rejections. I need to get out of this thinking habit. Mind me asking how many interviews did you give so far and what was your success rate ?
I needed this, stuck at oracle for 5 yrs now with no transferable skills. Ive had it
Been stuck around 130-145k range for the last 3 years. Cant seem to get to that next level
