I got a job offer from Infosys for a Project Manager role at Austin, TX (on-site). does anybody here have experience working for Infosys? Any recommendations? Infosys requires signing a Non compete agreement (12 months). Current Base Salary: 105K Infosys Base Salary: 140K
Non competes add generally unenforceable I think, check with a lawyer.
Not that big of an issue. It just means you can’t join a customer you were working with for a year after quitting
Wow, I am surprised Infosys pays 140 base in TX. Can you give some details on TC, YOE
I’m Interested to know too 😂
Why are you surprised? Is this less than expected? Just curious!
RUN 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️🏃♀️ avoid body shop companies!
Body shop actually have safety during recessions.
Body shops safeguard their employees who came on-site from india by actually sending them back and getting them here when things are good. US local hires are laid off as they are not on deputation. @amex I’ve worked for your company as a contractor from a body shop for half a decade and I’ve seen what happened in last recession 😅
Never work for WITCH companies.
^this, I’ve worked for 2 in the past. The experience adds no value on CV unless you want to work for another WITCH.
Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, HCL?
You are working/worked in HCL so you know how these companies work. The exp will be similar in all such companies.
Non-competes aren’t generally enforceable, but still honored by the host company, since the appearance of poaching would hurt the relationship. At least that’s how it was at Apple. If we really liked someone, the unsaid rule is that the consultant would have to “leave” infosys for 9-12 months, and then we’d hire them on.
Bs who gonna keep their word after 9-12 months? So much can change
Seems good offer compared to your current salary and based on the location. I would sign the agreement if I like the offer.
Make sure you get OT !!
What is OT?
@OP OT = overtime
Non-compete agreement (12 months). Suckus
Infosys is a bad company
Am sure it’s 100x better than HCL.
Why you say that? Infosys pays less than HCL
