I applied for a specific role at Amazon, however after the phone interview the position had been filled and I was asked to move further with the interview loop round in a generic setup. I was later offered a job as Program manager at amazon. However, it was verbal and the recruiter is looking for a role/team that would fit my profile and align with my skills. Is this a normal process. If yes, how long should it ideally take to get an offer letter. TC-0 (no offer letter, no compensation discussion yet) Any advice, or tip is helpful. Thank you!
1-6 months. You show keep checking in with your recruiter. You might consider finding open roles and sharing with them. There is a time limit to your post-loop eligibility, probably 6 months. That is what I was told when I interviewed. Similar thing happened to me. Passed the loop in mid June. Role got filled. Kept following up. Got a specific role offer in late July and started in mid-August. Also, roles are often posted in July. If you get an offer. See if you can get your starting day just before the typical quarterly earnings report. Not sure if this is possible, but it should give you a little bit better stock appreciation.
Thank you! This is very helpful. Point regarding the stock appreciation well noted.
