It seems employers are employing again massively. I've received over 10 unsolicited emails from recruiters in this week. My specific is Machine Learning - got recruiter email from PayPal, Google and a few other startups.
Get back to us when you get 10 offers. Recruiter emails mean nothing since they need to reach out to people to keep their jobs.
This. Recruiters are just building the pipelines to keep their job safe. Most positions will go on hold during the interview process or a reject even if you have performed really well.
Absolutely right @jkahi I experienced this first hand. Performed well in interviews at the end stage either the roles are on feeeze or they will have me match team after few months
They never dropped. We went from 10m to 9m open jobs...
yes, but those jobs arent good enough for entitled strippers
Youâre in ML though, AI is a hot area
Lol I was reading it with hope until I saw ML⊠Iâm like this Fing guy⊠really? ML jobs are hot rn? Ya DONT SAY
I saw post like this identical last week idk if itâs the same person. Like AI/ML isnât a hot topic rn
Iâm always worried theyâre scams and never answer back.
Every industry is doing great, except for big tech. Look for tech jobs at a non-FAANG if you're out of work.
These âEverything is Upâ and âEverything is Downâ posts are getting hilarious. We still have not detonated the - - Student Loan Debt bomb - Commercial Real Estate Debt bomb - Car Loan Debt bomb Iâm staying right where I am. Iâll wait u til those two fall off the table.
I do caution. People had this same mentality in 2008 and missed the majority of the rebound.
We rebounded already and now the market is down again. I kept investing. Why not?! Like I said, Iâll stay right where I am. I was patient. I can wait another 2-3 months to see the market plummet again. Banks are anticipating that if people stop paying Student Loans, they will stop paying car loans, credit cards, etc - whoop whoop.
Just yesterday Uber laid off 200. U must have opened ur LI after 5 years to get 10 hits
Not yesterday and it only affected recruiters. I think this shouldnât be used as a counter argument to OPs post tbh All recruiters kept their job until now so this is pretty understandable
Recruiters are the top funnel for job applicants, if you donât need them then you donât expect that many applicants meaning you donât have much job openings.
I work in sales and ops - so not usually high demand by recruiters and I do notice a uptick. Including the awkwardness of new recruiters reaching out saying theyâre taking over so and soâs contacts because they left the company
Recruiters need to do something to stay employed
There are still too many recruiters.
