Hi I work at a French aircraft manufacturer (not Spirit Airlines as my tag says). My job is a level below my experience and in Customer engineering. I took it because the company was ready to sponsor H1B. Now I have an offer from Boeing. It is one of those rare jobs where Boeing is ready to sponsor H1B. This is in core engineering and a senior role. But my issue is the state of Boeing currently. My current company is doing pretty well but scope of growth in my area and location is minimal. Given the current situation of Boeing do you think it is risky for me to move jobs on H1B if they would layoff and most importantly if the current financial situation of the company is proof enough to show that they can sponsor the visa which is one of the requirements?
Or the reverse, maybe they are eager for talent to turn things around. Directors always find ways to keep the people they want.
Can you share the position title which is ready to sponsor h1b? I'm on one myself and rarely find jobs with sponsorship.
What is your base & total compensation? Congratulations on your new job. I think it should be okay even if you’re hearing lot of things about this company outside. I heard they do have long term projects.
Thank you. Pay is 40k more than what I make. I currently make 120K but I am based in NYC now and live in NJ. From what I see Seattle has a higher cost of living. So I don't know if the pay bump is really a bump but the job role has more scope.
