Joining Uber: Phone or BYOD
Does Uber require MDM install when bringing your own phone? Anything else except for 2FA to install? Thinking whether to go with a personal iPhone or company’s. Used to carry two phones at FB, but that’s because of MDM and auto updating crapware.
No, you only need 2FA on your phone.
What level are you joining Uber ?
Are you joining as driver? That should be the least concern of yours otherwise.

2 FA, and you get something like $50/month extra on your paycheck for not using a Corp device. Oh, and once you’re an employee you’ll get hounded to use the beta version of the Eats and Rides apps every time you load the normal one.

50/50, but nobody really cares either way. Your phone number will be accessible company wide though.
Is 50$ given for some limited time or until you are at the firm?
I haven’t been at Uber for a few years, but the $50 continued as long as I had my own device. At some point I swapped to a corporate device. Then it stopped, but they gave me a new phone and a fully paid unlimited plan so it was worth it. Obviously all that ended for me when I stopped working there.
