Hi all I have two options: Option 1: I am in a role transition from program to tech product in current team writing deliverables for a product which might get approved for 2025 in this year's OP1 or planning. This is for a AI ML heavy product with some engineering and the team is a cost center in a revenue generating org . - manager says if the product I am proposing doesn't get approved, he will find me some other work to lead - After doing work for a few more months, I need to go through a tech assessment which needs to prove that I have product skills with a few leaders vouching for me. Director needs to vouch for me as well to change the role officially - Doing both program and product work is intense + Manager is very helpful and invested in me + Tech is innovative and will be directly working with anthropic on our use cases if product gets approved Option 2: On the other hand, I have an offer from another team in ads who is ready to give me product title and work immediately + it is a revenue generating team but with engineering work mostly + Tech team is in US and work execution will be more smoother + can do product thinking all day and learn more - manager seems nice but he is an unknown to me at this point with an hour of interaction I have built domain experience in both areas luckily and both are in advertising. Which one should I go far? Please make me think more.
take the title. I did program and product work side by side and kept getting led on about an upcoming transition for far too long before it actually happened. in this case a bird in the hand is worth five in the bush
feel free to DM, happy to expound on my own experience
I did DM. How long did it take?
