#engineering #jumptrading heyo, I just finished on-site interviews and I'm scheduled for a call with a person from HR to talk about my salary expectations. I have 2 years of experience and I'm currently making £100k base with an annual bonus of 15k. How much can I realistically expect from Jump? What about other comparable trading companies / hedge funds?
Can you please name your company? I will try applying?
A small start-up based in London and we aren't hiring right now :/
feel free to DM me
OP, any updates? I am trying to get data point on US salary expectations, I have similar call scheduled.
Yoo, how are you guys applying?
External recruiter contacted me through LinkedIn
What did you end up getting?
300 first year (including 50k sign-on bonus)
That's quite good, is the base 150k?
What role? £100k base with 2 YoE is a pretty good comp package for London. Do you have a PhD / published articles and or low latency | high frequency trading experience already?
I am a python dev with bachelors and quite okay math/algo skills, nothing serious. No low latency/high frequency trading experience. I'm up for a python Dev role at jump too
I see, I honestly don't know much about Jump Trading, but based on the average salaries for Python Devs with 2 YoE I would expect a lateral move at best. Unless of course you have some other skills that are critical to them.
