Way better than Citadel and HRT.
What makes Jump way better than HRT?
Yep, tier-1 (if you count RenTech as tier-0).
What is this weird obssession with Rentech. They're a small respectable firm but I dont understand why so many Blinders, especially nontraders, put it on a pedestal.
I’d say it’s more to do with their secrecy, their hiring bar not being known adding to their mythical status as an almost impossible to get into place, plus their returns and the awe that other firms seem to have for them.
Tier 2
Why do you think it’s tier 2
Depends what you mean by that. The company is extremely successful so it's tier 1 in that sense. Their new grad pay is tier 1 for Quants, tier 1.5 for core. Their pay as you work is tier 1. The ppl and wlb is tier 1. I mean there is just alot to talk about lol
Will Jump ever allow remote work for new hires?
Do you mean during covid? It's remote rn
Fully agree with Jtrading, consistent with what I heard from Friends
Is 700k TC achievable for 5-7 yoe? I asked the recruiter and they said money no problem. But I highly doubt if they’ll match it in the first year or atleast year 2. Thoughts?
Yeah, that's certainly achievable.
Great, thanks! :)
For quant trading firms, is hard to say this kind of tier 1/2/3 classification, so such ranking exist
Yeah, some teams are tier 0 and others are tier 3, within the same firm.
How high do bonuses go in these places? What background does one need to join here? ML role at FAANG works?
In addition to base salary, for SWEs, 2-4 YOE: 300-500K 5-10 YOE: 500K-1M 10+ YOE: 1-5M+ Double the above if a trader or quant. Yes, usually ML infra at FB/AMZN (not Google because culture encourages slacking off)
😂 @QR None of you wrote is correct.
I don’t think the numbers are correct for the avg engineers at Jump
Can you give a ballpark number?
yes, it’s tier 1
