Just bought house

Hi, I just bought a house. When we first viewed it my wife and I were excited and loved it so we put an offer and got it. Now that we are a few months into living here we hate it we just have waaay too vegetation and plants which attract all types of bugs which get in the house. Also our driveway is hard to get in and out of and just so many other things have gone wrong. Idk what to do if we sell the house I would for sure lose at least 40k because of real estate fees and everything else. I can’t rent it and move out because we can’t afford to buy another house. I’m so upset and just don’t know what to do.

It’s called buyers remorse. Don’t worry. You’ll be ok. Just try to find the positives.

Vegetation can be cut back. Bugs can be sprayed away. The real thing is that moving and making a huge financial commitment can be really anxiety inducing. Give yourself some time to settle in. It took months for me to finally settle and eventually really love my house.

hold on a few more months, you will get used to it. There might be other houses similar to yours. Try reading online or asking people for the remedies of problems in the house.

What were the features you loved about it? Focus on that. Not being happy with something will lead you to find other things you don’t like. Find the vegetation that is attracting the bugs and get rid of it, plant things that keep bugs away like basil and lavender. Find things that will fix your driveway. Because like you said, you are stuck.

You have to mitigate the problems and accentuate the positives and learn to love it. Cut away the vegetation, you’ll get better at the driveway with more practice, etc.... remember why you loved the house and use those things more.... it’s kinda like a relationship. After a year see how you feel before making a big decision like reselling and rebuying. Likely all the annoyances will fade away with the bustle of life and it won’t be so bad

With just the bug problem there's services that can spray stuff around the perimeter of your house to deter bugs from entering. For difficult driveway get a Tesla and use summon feature to have it pull out into road. ;) I think some top end BMWs also do that ;) ;)
