it's a really long process. The conversion started from last Nov.. that’s my first time interviewing for Google. Applied a few times before, never got a response. Not sure what outcome I will get, but learn a lot through the process. Never prepare interview like this: mock ups, training videos, system design books etc.. I think I am well prepared for my next interview. Wish me good luck, then I can save efforts on job hunting. YOE 18, TC: 500k+
I’m so glad I don’t want to work for these companies, the five month interview process sounds as bad as the working experience
Partially because of me, have lots of things to do. I think I might spend 40 hours in total for preparation and most of those preparation efforts is actually helpful for my daily work. Kind of retrospect and summarize personal experiences。 In my 18 year of professional experience, you normally get better rewards from packaging your work vs. doing actual work; while, you can get even bigger rewards from changing job vs. packaging your work in the same position. It’s kind of sad, this world does not appreciate devoted hard working, neither loyalty. But, you can always do what makes your happy, not necessary getting more money.
I am going thru G interview too, but a recruiter is ghosting now before scheduling the onsite.
my recruiter is pretty responsive. I just got her messsage and said she should have the outcome next Monday. hope this is a good sign.
Did you reach out after your interviews or did she proactively email you? Outcome as in HC decision?
