Both companies are hybrid in Canada YOE: 1 Current TC: 110 Wealthsimple: - 142k base - 50k USD in options per year - No sign on Faire: - 135k base - 10k sign on - 55k USD in RSUs per year Wealthsimple seems like a way cooler product and tech stack but Faire seems more likely to ipo and actually have that money be not paper money. Thoughts on these two? Should I just assume both equity is paper money and take the higher base? Also options kinda seems shitty when I could be getting RSUs
Which level at Faire?
How do the options at Wealthsimple work?
What is the level at wealthsimple? I'm actually headed there myself.
Also I believe options are not taxable until you exercise them where the RSUs would be. So not sure how rsus work for a private company
these RSUs aren’t taxes until a liquidity event or you leave the company afaik
Still no Faire IPO in sight 💀
Canada salaries are finally picking up. 130+ for 1 yoe. That’s not bad.
Yup. But at the same time, faire and Wealthsimple are top startups.
