Axiom Interview

Have an interview with Axiom Space for various Suits Contracts… role would be systems engineer…. Can someone that works there tell me how the interview is and what they ask? thanks #axiom #axiomspace #aviation

Interview is elementary, I know 4 people that were subpar get axiom jobs. They were on the JETS contract

That's because NASA is a jobs program employing lot of sub-par people in the name of diversity blah blah :p

Yes agree, but why is Axiom hiring subpar engineers

NASA mktf0rce Mar 14, 2023

Nasa hires people that do not know anything in the field they get hired for, which blows my mind, but that is why I left.

I see. Where are you working now? I can't speak of the whole Axiom. But at least in my org of in space solutions, there are a few accomplished PhDs+ and those with MS from MIT, Stanford etc. They are smart and can pick up new science that the PI wants to fly with reasonable depth. Maybe in other divisions Axiom is also looking for someone with know how of NASA processes which is what these sub par people brings. I haven't worked with other orgs so far (just joined 3 weeks back) to myself evaluate if they are really smart or just have a false pretense that they are doing "rocket science" lol so they must be

Oh I know a handful are very smart and bring wealth of knowledge. Especially on upper management engineering side, the chief engineer in the electrical side is very well adverse. It's the ICs I was surprised at. One colleague did not know how to read a spec sheet or understand why resistors generated heat. he was the bottom of the barrel but can talk very well if it's not technical.
