Instead of a raise or annual bonus, EY has distributed $250 USD as a giftcard through the employee portal. what do you think about this? #finance #consulting #bonuses #covid-19
I think it’s time for for EY employees to find a new job
Lol EY El Cheapos
We don’t get raises or bonuses. But I can imagine this is insulting when people expect this as a part of their salary.
Yeah I’ve never not received a bonus, and I certainly rely on it as part of TC when evaluating competitive offers. So it’s a huge blow, especially for the hours we’re infamous for working smh
OP - can I ask what a typical bonus is? I’m staff1 and I know staff don’t get bonuses
A gift card for what?
It’s $250 through the company “Rewards And Recognition” internal site, where employees can select vendors to cash it out from (like Amazon, Nike, Nordstrom, etc). So it’s not cash.
That’s even worse
I think it is to get some tissues to wipe the tears.
Or some toilet paper to use instead lol
Use it for Leetcode premium and jet out
OP’s name is Karen, how ironic
Pop a molly, EDM
I didn't even get the memo for this gift card. Lol
Yea kind of a weird way to go about breaking the news yesterday that we weren’t getting performance raised/bonuses. Grateful to still have a job, unlike some of my friends who have been laid off, but when you are making far less than what is considered “low income” in San Francisco to work 70 hour work weeks, $250 was a bit of a slap in the face.
Feeling bad for you, want a shoulder or tissue? On the bright side you can buy some toilet paper with that money
Lol and some variety of color masks along the way
Just wait until the next Covid panic; toilet paper will cost more than that!
