Would you accept a job offer with a title that's 3 steps behind your current one but with 50% more "base" salary? (Aka real money) Imagine dealing with things like updating your LinkedIn profile that would look like a downgrade for you, etc. #tech #jobs #layoff #layoffs #unemployment #unemployed #offer #offers
How much is 50% though? 1k 5k???
If you're worried about the job after just describe your new job as the same level as your previous one. Linked in doesn't have to be 100% true. No one is checking the details.
The stage of the company’s growth plays a factor in this too — I was previously at a startup where many folks that left their senior manager / director roles from FAANG to be an IC.. a couple years later when the company grew massively, those people got promoted to VP/C-suite roles
Financial independence!
Money > titles
What a stupid question. Money is king.
The money IS the prestige.
LMAO. The lower the position the better, so long as TC remains constant. Low responsibility, high TC, that's what we all strive for.
Title trumps cash. Stay where you are.
Title means not much Anyone can be a CTO at no name startup
