Whatever you do will come back to you at some point, whether it is during or after your life
If karma is real, the whole Amazon management structure will collapse in one day, or should I say day one.
Lol 😂😂😂😂😂 There cant be a better example than this
Absolutely real! Though everyone has their own definition of what a "good person" essentially means, a simple kind hearted person without expectations from others is psychologically more benefitted than the others. They're almost always stress free because they don't expect much from others while also feeling good about themselves because they're kind and think they've contributed to society through their kindness which gives them a sense of fulfillment.
But covert narcissists are attracted to them and kind people are often victims. Aren't they?
How is one a victim when one doesn't expect? If helping or by being kind to someone you're hurting yourself or society at large, then it's bad karma anyway. But if you are kind to someone and expect something in return even in the distant future then you put the other person in charge of the outcome and there is a 50% chance of you being victimized.
If you have to ask this, you won't be able to be a bad person and being good is better for your own mental health.
I am often trying to be not but keep thinking if (trying) to be good is what brings suffering to you.
Your expectations bring you suffering, not being good.
No.
the universe doesn’t know you exist
Being a good person matters or else society cannot survive.
Karma doesn’t mean someone is going to come down and punish someone who hurt us. It means our bodies remember each and every action of ours. That memory plays out in various ways we can’t even imagine what the outcome is going to be like. If someone hurts us out of hate, his body is going to remember it and will cause him harm in some way. If we react and harm them in return out of revenge, our body remembers that too. That’s why they say try to always be a good person.
The idea of karma is misunderstood. It's not the action...never have been. Karma always reflects your intentions. If you're being good for the sake of some cosmic rewards then you're in a way telling your self a lie. instead being true to one's self even while doing something which is unacceptable by general norms could possibly lead to inner peace. And will certainly be a good karma. The best karma is operating with zero intension(I.e. no karma) . It's weird that a new born baby can do this with ease but a grown ass person like me no matter what, can't do it.
Karma is based on actions, intent and a lot of other things. Intent alone doesn't define karma. Duryodhan went to heaven instead of hell is just one of those examples which has turned heads and instigated a lot of debates over centuries. It is because Dharma is complex as was told by Bhishma to Draupadi why Yudhishthir was right to gamble her in Dyut. Which again didn't fall in bad karma category even though the intent behind it was dicey.
The core idea is not lying to yourself. Duryodhan truly believed that his father had faced injustice, thus he wasn't the heir to the caretaker of Empire but a rightful ruler. Every action sprung from that one core true belief. Intensions could be something which is not able to express this phenomenon in its entirety, but ..I tried.

A lot of people here serve money and not God
Not really. I always see bad people doing better in life. Having said that u should still be a good person just because u don’t want to hurt others
Plenty of bad people who are doing horrible at life too. I would say a lot more actually. Go to downtown Seattle or SF and see all the people who will rob you blind given the chance. And trust me, they are not doing better in life
@kptolobta They are doing better than people in similar situations who won't rob given a chance.
