I am a 2023 passout grad and the notable companies that have visited our college are Zoho, Thoughtworks,Mr Cooper,HPE,Fiserv...But I always wanted to work for companies like Amazon, Walmart , Flipkart, Uber and some other big tech giants, I have applied for all these companies in their portal but I couldn't even get a call for an interview, I am strong enough in my technical skills, I won't feel sad if I get rejected in this interview but what hits hard is that I didn't even get a chance to prove myself , Then why these companies are posting job openings for freshers and not even calling for a basic coding round...Can anyone help me out to get an interview call at least?...When will these hard times fade away ?...Till now I have applied for more than 15 jobs via LinkedIn and other media and not even got a call for at least one
Are tier 1 colleges facing the same problem?
That's how it was earlier too. Referral is the way to go
Still not possible. The big companies are very picky in India if you’re not from their desired college they won’t even filter.
+1 to this. I graduated in 2021 and was from a mid tier college. Top tech companies used to visit my college but I didn't get into any through the OnCampus route. After struggling for 6-7 months I was able to get 3 offcampus interviews.
It’s the reality, I too want work for big company at beginning, but the competition is immense. Then I joined Zoho after 1yr (now) I got offer from PayPal. Join a good company at beginning learn as much as you can, if you like it stay Still want to work for big company, you can switch. Btw Zoho is best place to learn with good environment. Each job post will have definitely 1L+ applications, it’s really hard to standout unless you have extraordinary profile. Moreover you need a very good resume that need to pass ATS and Referrals are prioritised so interviewer will interview them, after that they will reach you. In my case, I kept my linked in active, one day hr reached me and gave a interview chance and I cleared it. So don’t give up keep grinding you will get what u deserve.
Welcome to reality.
🥺💔
Nothing to worry I make 20 times what I made as a fresher today. It takes time. Its a long road ahead. Focus on learning.
