Hey all, in the interview process with seatgeek and interested to see how it is over there? How's the culture, wlb, on call, vibe etc? Reviews are very mixed and blind doesn't match Glassdoor. Looking for people actively there to see how it is? TC: 205 cash + paper money
Can I get a referral for Seatgeek?
Excellent wlb, meh comp, >70% remote so culture is suffering
How do you feel about the valuation. I was quoted 300/4 do you think they are actually worth that when I join or should I discount it?
What do you mean by 300/4? I'd guess $5 per share is fair
I personally really like it. I feel like we really go about our values and people actually give a shit and are not just spitting out work. WLB is great. On-call depends on your team. From what I understand comp is below average.
Any concerns on layoffs? How is the equity value. They communicated the 409a price and wasn't sure if that was realistic or not
Equity I don’t really care enough to know beyond the values that are in my contract, when IPO happens then I’ll start caring. Layoffs are unlikely at this point.
This place has a pretty great culture and is one of the least toxic places I’ve worked in - and I’ve worked a lot of places. Decent comp, good wlb and vibe. Don’t listen to people who’ve ‘heard things’ from outside. I work here so this is first hand
Any thoughts on the current valuation and impending IPO? I'm used to it being based on crazy 2021 numbers, does the valuation seem realistic?
I don’t think it’s realistic because any valuation is make belief in my opinion - assume the worst is my motto for any startup :)
Lots of layoffs branded as “reorg”… so watch for that
I'm assuming probably safe if they're hiring for a role at this point?
‘Layoffs’ are indeed reorg that are tiny ( 30 people) and targeted to orgs or people they genuinely do not need- this is obvious since they are hiring in other areas.
Anyone willing to Dm to help for a referral

The False Narrative of Israel Committing "Genocide"
I’ve heard they are terrible on all those, but have good comp package. Seems okay if you’re okay with very stressful startup environments, immature tech stack though. I’m surprised their Blind rating is so high.
The reviews are completely mixed on Glassdoor. Half of them say great wlb but comp isn't faang competitive, the other half say bad wlb but pay is good. Hence why I'm asking here lol
I interviewed early this year and got the impression of bad wlb, but very good comp (a bit better or on par with FAANG)
