SpaceX/NASA Visa requirements

I heard that all roles do not require citizenship. Is this true? Can someone confirm? I’d love to work for these companies but sadly I’m on a visa :( Tc - 258k

Funny I just googled this earlier as a recruiter from NASA reached out to me. Seems like you need to be a citizen for working at NASA

Ahh that sucks man

They require citizenship or permanent residence unfortunately. You can google ITAR rules if you want to learn more.

Cool thank you!

I don’t think folks on visa can work there directly. I’ve heard you can be hired through 3rd party agencies to work there, but I don’t believe that’ll be for core initiatives.

Got it, thanks!

Citizen, GC or asylum.

NASA-JPL does not require Citizenship/GC for all the positions. I have interviewed with them while on OPT. One of my friend with Phd on CPT interned at JPL in material science department.

OPT/CPT doesn't require sponsorship for the specified time period. I think the question is whether or not these companies sponsor.
