Kaiser employees strike day 2, seeing lots of hospital employees strike lately. concerned that those who are saving our lives are having to make the tough decision to pause helping others to fight for themselves. come on corporate america, lets pay our nurses/doctors fairly and move on. #healthcare #kaiser
true but… happy doctors/nurses = better services for us
They might seem to make "good" money but no stock options, no unlimited pto, no incentives, no remote work option (some do but mostly not), no lunch time, no break, no time to use restroom, no promotion opportunities. No work life balance of course. Constantly exposed to physical/chemical/biological harm, threats, violence, no work-life balace... I can go on and on and on. It takes a lot of courage to stay in the field so please have some sympathy.
It comes down to choices, we all have them. If conditions don't change, you leave, or stay, I dunno I'm not there mommy. Point is they made a choice to work on healthcare
Good for you for making good choices. Unfortunately, someone has to do the job people don't want to do. You can't just leave. So they fight for the better condition, better work environment, and better compensation. If you're not gonna be the one doing that job, why not support them than saying they make good money that they don't deserve your sympathy? Hope you don't ever get sick, if you get unhappy, overworked, maltreated docs and nurses, well.. that was your choice.
Of course. But you can also choose to stay and fight. All I'm saying is to show some respect for people who do hard job and fight for fair treatment. That's all.

I dunno man, they make good money and have outstanding benefits. I find it hard to have sympathy but what I do agree with is the lack of coverage and doing multiple people's jobs, puts patients lives in danger
