Karat

Anyone have experience with using Karat to outsource interviews? Curious how well it works

It’s a mixed bag. The questions are easier than Meta interviews because the interviewer is not an engineer in Big Tech. My interviewer, it felt like she was looking for certain answers and checking boxes. Which meant that she wasn’t a big help for feedback but also that she accepted more hand waving.

Had given an interview for Walmart with Karat. It's an outsourced Algo interview. A person from Karat will join a video call. I guess it's for 1 hour, First 15 mins on design questions. Rest 45 mins it's DS and Algo, it's very rapid, I solved 3 (For me it was on BFS/DFS).

From the employer side it's a sanity check in which you can be sure anyone you interview that's had a karat pre screen can code under pressure... So potentially you could skip one or all coding rounds for anyone that's been through karat. That's the allure of karat, it filters out the riff raff without you or your people having to do it.
