If your not source bound, Costco online is the cheapest and best ( 14 gms provided you need that much), else trader joes sells for $5 0.14gm (they are of Spanish origin).

Is it the same as old school saffron from flower petals( not safflower)? If yes, Iranian grocery store in Bellevue
Any Indian or middle eastern grocery store should have it. YMMV on quality and freshness.
Thanks all. I'll try these. Most brands I find do not mention origin or Spanish. Purpose is to consume directly with milk during pregnancy. So want to ensure it's of good quality. I'll probably end up shipping from India to ensure freshness.
Whole Foods has authentic Spanish and Persian saffron... keep in mind that saffron can cause excessive heat, so I would restrict the quantity.
Good quality and authenticity would say go with US options: Costco (read link below), Trader Joes, Whole Foods. India and sub-continent not easy to verify. https://www.costco.com/Full-Thread-Spanish-Saffron%2c--14-Gram-Jar.product.100389351.html
Trust me most of the stuff from India is fake. Use Wholefoods its great. Also rumispices is genuinely authentic
Why local Indian brand? They’re obviously not grown in Seattle.
I meant brands from India.
