Keyboard OCD

Suppose you interview someone online and notice they have OCD rituals they perform on the keyboard whenever there is a pause. L-backspace-O-backspace-space-backspace-...3seconds later...-space-backspace, for example. What would your reaction be?

Is the bar at Microsoft so low that you judge people based on shit like this?

No, I was just wondering how much of an impact my keyboard OCD rituals would have. Sometimes i get stuck in a loop for up to 10 seconds... other times it makes ctrl-z not work because i have to cycle through so many keystrokes from my rituals. The poll results so far are a pleasant surprise to me: i thought most ppl would be much more critical.

As far as I know, it is illegal for a company to use a candidate's disability against him/her in the hiring decision. However, make sure it will not prevent you from focusing on the question. What happens if you take a med(prescribed by your doc) on the interview day?

This was my thought, too. There's no way I'd disqualify someone based on what looks like a disability. But if you had 10 minutes to type me an algorithm and you spent 9:59 hitting O, L, Spacebar, and Backspace in whatever order, I wouldn't be able to evaluate your skills.

I'm actually able to temporarily put the OCD aside when it comes to important situations like interviews or ppl standing over my shoulder as i have to put together some new test ASAP. The rituals drop like 90% then. Maybe I'm bored the rest of the time... <edit: supposed to be reply to above nested comment>

How are you doing on this issue? Usually OCD gets worse if you don’t challenge it with ERP.
