What do you guys thinks of intersecionality in race and gender politics ? Should we support black transgenders more in workplaces ? Should we support them more than we support Latina men or more than Chinese women? Thoughts please. Would like to improve HR policies to target the DEI of society and hire according
Discrimination, even with the right motives, is still wrong. It just perpetuates the cycles of some new demographic having a justification to implement the same kind of policies in the opposite direction in 10 years.
That's not intersectionality. Intersectionality is the idea that the combinations create unique forms of oppression that can be invisible if you look at them individually. It isn't a way to rank who is more oppressed, all injustice needs addressing.
By this metric will smith’s kids have suffered from some sort of injustice, and should be given preferential treatment over say some son of a deceased white war wet. This ideology is pure trash. You are advocating to treat people because of which group they belong to. It’s pure nonsense. The only thing I can probably get behind is what MLK advocated for. Class based. That unites majority of Americans This ideology is pure poison and divisive
Intersectionality is a descriptive tool for analysis, it does not prescribe anything. Your imagined wrongs are your own problem.
Very dangerous ideology that must be eliminated immediately.
How else do you determine the winners of the oppression Olympics? After all, we are all oppressed, offended, and outraged. I support whatever benefits me. Not sure about what but that's not relevant.
DEI is systemic racism and its advocates are racists.

How to invest in India as an NRI?
No Hire the best person for the job. If I am going to get a heart surgery I will not seek out some kind of intersectional champion. Probably someone who is capable and has a good track record.
Why
Added some more meat to my response. But basically it boils down to hiring someone because of something that they can’t change is simply wrong. It’s a sick paternalistic ideology in my opinion. Hire the best person for the job. It is as simple as that.
