Nielsen is on the verge of relocating scores of U.S. jobs to cheaper overseas labor markets and making another round of layoffs as the company looks for greater operating efficiencies under its new owners. As it aims for “sustainable growth” in a difficult media market, CEO Karthik Rao told employees Tuesday that Nielsen will have to make “some tough choices” regarding some of its workforce. “Some of our global workforce will be leaving Nielsen as a result” of changes in how – and where – the global measurement giant operates, he said. As part of this effort, we will transition specific work to our GCCs, which means some of our global workforce will be leaving Nielsen as a result,” Rao explained in the memo. “We’ve been working with leaders over the last few weeks to determine which work will be transitioned to our GCCs and as such, which parts of our global workforce will be impacted. This process is expected to take time, and I know the uncertainty can be difficult,” Rao said. It’s the third reduction in force at the measurement giant in 13 months. Last September it announced a massive round of layoffs to reduce its global workforce by about 9%. That was preceded by a January 2023 RIF which was said to involve hundreds of people, focused on the upper management executive level and included half of Nielsen Audio’s senior managers. https://www.insideradio.com/free/nielsen-to-move-scores-of-u-s-jobs-overseas-amidst-new-round-of-layoffs/article_815875a6-ba87-11ee-9ffa-8bfc9c16c1cb.html
We need Trump
Carrier AC employees would like a word
What is Trump going to do? Like he cares about tech.
So an Indian CEO is moving jobs to India. Makes sense.
I can feel reckoning for Indian talent is coming. Trump 2024
Repeating the early 2000s. Nothing new unfortunately

If every company moves job outside of US, what’s gonna happen to people here with lower economic opportunities? I sense 1940s Germany type scenario.
They will vote for Trump and hope Russia adopts the USA
Watch the movie “Roger & Me”. Very reminiscent of what’s happening in tech now. Michael Moore’s first movie. GM shipped all the factory jobs out of Flint, Michigan to Mexico in the 80s. Flint is now a complete mess. Poverty stricken, issues with basic infrastructure.
