As overall
There is no overall answer. If you are in brand management, J&J is fantastic, Amazon is meh with all Amazon's cultural issues . If you are in tech, Amazon, hands down. If you are a delivery driver, both would work ok.
Nonexistent cultural diversity. You are better off at Amazon if you think there is more accountability here (yes, hard to believe but it's worse). Bay area is slightly better when it comes to work environment and people but the east coast is mostly white supremacists and christo fascists. Check out recent posts on racism and arrrests related to insurgency in their company page here.
Bay Area JnJ might look diverse but it has its own flavor of favoritism and pip culture (specially since 2023). Career development is nonexistent. Would recommend to avoid
Agree career development is non existent and see aspects of white racism
