Planning to buy my first car, leaning towards getting a good used vehicle (Budget 10-15k) I'm looking for basic features like reverse parking assist, car play, blind spot detector if possible. Current market looks like any honda/toyota that's 2015 and above is at least 20k. I checked carvana and truecar websites (don't know where else to search for) I definitely need a car in the coming months (since baby on the way) and current TC + expenses does not allow me to buy whatever I want. What are some good options? Do I have to spend 20k to buy a good car? Where else can I look for cars other than above? Any tips will be much appreciated. Thanks! BlindTax TC : 140k #misc #car
Ford Fusion, 2010-2014 range. They can come with backup cams, blindspot indicators, and ford sync for phones. Not sure if models before 2013 can come with in-dash screens (their back up cams will be in the rearview mirror). Going to be tough to find a Toyota (or really any decent sedan) for less than 15k that’s not older than 2015.
Older than 2015 is okay, even with your requirements. Toyota (and Lexus) is the most reliable, period. SUV is best for baby. Find a 201X Rav4. Not sure if that will have CarPlay, but you can mount a cheap Amazon tablet and hotspot it.
Delusional. Why can’t you spend more? You make 140k (odd tc, what role?). I’d get something good especially with a baby I’d rather work overtime or whatever to make it happen before buying a shitbox and risk my kids life’s
Dude, just buy a new car and finance it
You’ll have to make some compromises on your requirements at that price point. I would get a high mileage SUV minus the backup camera and plan to spend a bit more on maintenance. Why I Find Free Palestine Inspiring
I got a couple of used cars, Audi Q7 and Subaru BRZ. It is not for everyone, you have to do your due diligence to not regret it. Do market research using Autotrader, understand what you are getting into. You should also do a visual inspection of the car. You must take to a mechanic for inspection and insist on a test drive. You should buy the car report. You don’t have to pay in full, you can get a car loan. I suggest narrowing down you search to a few models and test drive them. SUV is easier to get in and out of especially when you have a baby. My thoughts are not very organised, please forgive me.
