Did you know Indians have a racial slur towards white peoples they use all the time?
I have a remote job offer to join the data science division at Grainger, IL. I like everything about the offer, except the risk that Grainger may in future, like several (tech) companies these days, expect employees to come to office, even at expense of a relocation. I'm located in NC and relocation is not an option for me. I know work-life balance is good at Grainger, it's not a tech company, it continues to post remote jobs, my hiring manager is remote-friendly, and I'm open to traveling once a quarter to IL be in person if needed. But I'm trying to assess the risk still. Those who know more about Grainger, especially its data science division, does Grainger seem supportive of remote work in the long term? If you currently work at Grainger remotely, what's been your experience? #grainger #remote #remotecompanies #wfh #returntooffice #datascience #machinelearning
I don’t work there but had an offer. They seemed open to remote but wanted me to do hybrid for some time.
@GPTTrader, when did you receive that offer?
It was sometime last year. I decided not to go for personal reasons. I like a fully remote position and my current job is super flexible. But they are a great company. The work seemed very exciting and it’s a green field so you can make a ton of impact.
