There are lot of avenues to make money I.e plumber, crypto investments, real estate agents. Working as a swe is the most anxious job ever after medical industry. You don’t know if your code will work tomorrow. Managers are aholes and do nothing. So much competition for no reason. Can’t make social connections. Some ppl might say it’s a skill issue but I have seen that with most swe of all races. Did anyone leave at 1m .
It’s not a skill issue lol. This type of comment is exactly why I’m thinking of leaving tech. Everyone in tech is so insecure. This is why they work so hard too. Anyway yeah I’m approaching 1m net worth and thinking about leaving
I'm approaching 2mm. But where I live houses are more than that. So I don't feel like I have a lot. I love coding, but hate working in tech
“I love coding but hate working in tech” truer words have never been spoken.
Came here just to agree with this ^
Been in tech a while, still enjoy it, don’t have a-hole managers, and not looking to quit. I guess most people don’t like their jobs. I’m just not one of them. 🤷
