L4 to L5 hike
Hey guys! Joining Amazon in a few months. What is the expected average salary hike from L4 to L5? How long does it usually take? When is the promotion cycle?
Promo cycle is quarterly.
I was hired out of college 2.5 years ago as an SDE and was promoted this year. My TC before the promo was 140k. It's now 170k after the promo.

There's no "eligible for promotion." Amazon has something called a promo doc which you fill out to strengthen your case for a promo. Once you manage to get all the boxes checked in it, you're good to go for a promo. It can be 6 months or 3 years, up to you and your manager.

Good luck with that! Its very hard to get promoted from l4 to l5. I have colleagues who been l4s for the last 3 yrs!
