Base: 145k Bonus: 45k 1st year, 35k second year Stocks: 70 I have PhD with 4 years experience in Bay Area. I like the team and the work but offer is lower than I expected, how much room for negotiation I have ?
Do you have competing offer?
It’s very close to my current TC and at least need to work 20% more for Amazon
Well then ask why they are not giving you anything over your current comp..
Weak
Stocks per year or for 4 years?
That would be terrible if it's over 4 years holy
ofc its 70 stock units for 4 yrs
It’s over 4 years. TC first year 195k
What is a reasonable offer ?
Around 200 is a reasonable offer for 4 years exp IMO
imo they have Phd, so should be more.
Its not a low comp for L5. L5 band is from 175 to 225.. Only crazy competing offer will fetch you more than 225
That’s true for Seattle, not sure where Op is heading
I had an L5 offer above that without another offer.
Location is also in Bay Area?
Yes Bay Area
Ask for 150k Base, 60k + 40k joining and 140 stocks if you think you did your interview well.
This seems like a SEA offer. Bay area should be about 10% higher.
Assuming it's SDE. you mentioned PhD - is this a scientist role of some sort?
