Currently non-technical L65 at MSFT. Exploring L7 out of Seattle... What is Google L7 equivalent in MSFT? What TC range should I expect? TC $330K, non-Seattle
You'll probably survive in a non technical L7 position at Google. For a technical role 65 is barely a match for L6.
What is so much harder as an L6 than 65?
It is about scope, influence, and impact. Not necessarily harder, but right match in skillets and experience.
Lol even at L65 you might pass for L6, better to compare L66 or L67 to L7. Google is notorious for under leveling so don’t get your hopes up. L6 comp range is around $475k and L7 around $700k.
L6 is more than that. L5 offers were 450. I expect atleast 550k
This is non-tech, which is what OP asked for
L67/L68, but it seems that some of them only have L65/L66 scopes, so I think you will totally be fine with the job.
L7 equivalent is L68 or a partner in MSFT.

What type of role? I'd expect your comp at L7 to almost double lol (330k is about what I make in the Bay as an L5 non-technical Program Manager)
Non-technical
L5 here as a non-tech (Design) making $380k in Seattle
