I know someone who applied for the Facilities and Equipment Automation Manager position at Nintendo and had the initial phone interview with the recruiter. The recruiter told him that he would be in contact with the next steps from the hiring manager no later than a week from their phone interview. The week passed with no contact, so the applicant followed up with the recruiter. Another week has now passed since that follow-up and there still has not been a response. What is the etiquette here? This is his dream job and he has all of the experience to support that role. Does the lack of communication from Nintendo suggest he is no longer a contender to move on to the next stages of the interview round? I have heard it is not uncommon to experience gaps in communication during the interview process at Nintendo, so I have been suggesting he follow-up again. However, I don't know if anyone has insight on how much follow-up is appropriate or when to assume he is no longer a contender for the position? The position still appears to be open according to the Nintendo Careers site, as well as other recruiting sites. Any and all advice is welcome. Thank you in advance for your time and help. #nintendo #interview #recruiterbox
I would relax on this one, the interview process is slow. My guess is your recruiter might be OOO or dealing with some other issue. There is very little if any redundancy at NOA.
Great, thank you so much - I really appreciate your insight!
Also there is week off from 25th till today , everyone’s back tomorrow the 4th
Wait to send another follow up until Monday or Tuesday morning from 9-11am. They’re more likely to see the email come in during the morning hours after Thanksgiving.
I'll pass this along. Thank you so much for your help!
