Depressed after failing my SWE interviews, despite putting a lot of time and effort into the prep.

Title. Sick of being stuck at this shithole. Gave my all to prep for Meta, Google, and others, but got rejected after Onsites. 6 long months till I get another shot. LC every day, mocks, articles on Algos, LC contests, literally had to pause my social life for the most part, to study. And then fell short. Actually FELT GOOD about the interviews but still got rejected. I communicated well, gave a base solution, gave an optimized solution, etc. Devastated and angry. Gonna go back to the drawing board and give it another shot. I think I know what I need to fix. I am not giving up like that, but at this moment I just need to vent. Screw interviewers that nitpick every little thing you don’t do perfectly. I absolutely hate working here. This place is a chaotic cesspool that eats your soul. Fuck BD. #tech

Did you pay for mock interviews from companies like interview.io

This time no. But going to do that for my upcoming prep season. Not gonna leave a single stone unturned.

Kinda in the same boat. I’m considering if I should pay for the 10 mock sessions. 5k though so pretty hefty investment but roi could be massive

Don’t give up hope. Try again after your cool down period. I also failed the first time I did this and didn’t clear multiple company interviews. I kept doing LC. I found my shortcomings and realised my speed was slow and code quality could be better. 1.5 year later after a long interview process I got an offer from Google. Life is long.

Keep trying. Sometimes it takes multiple tries to get in FAANG. Check out other paid mock interview website like meetapeo or pramp as well.
