Thinking of making an internal switch to lab 126 supply chain. Can anyone provide some idea about the work culture. And also the pro and cons of such a move.
A friend of mine worked there (on supply chain) pre-pandemic and had nothing but bad things to say. WLB seems better than most places, too, he was pulling a solid 9-5 with no real overtime. But he said that the work he did was incredibly boring, teammates were boring/all seemed depressed or meek, and his managers aren't the best. None of the usual amenities you are used to at other FAANGs like free food, free snacks, etc. They have one nice cafe on campus, but the other dining areas are really bad compared to other FAANGs. I visited there when he was working, it's basically 1:1 a Microsoft cafe, which is considered mediocre compared to G, FB, or Apple. I think he said they had a gym on-site though. But ultimately IMO it depends heavily on your team. Most of his issues were due to the project he was on/the people he was directly working with. This is for the California location, around Sunnyvale.
