Laid Off - Week 4
Today marks four weeks since being laid off. I've applied to multiple job openings, but so far, I've only received one recruiter call. With extensive experience in Cloud (AWS/GCP) services and data technologies, I was anticipating a more favorable response and hoping for additional calls from recruiters. Being on a Visa, I'm unsure if that plays a role, but it's disheartening to face rejection even before showcasing my skills. Life isn't enjoyable when faced with constant pre-screening rejections. Feel like Stress is slowly creeping in. Not sure why I am writing this, but any pointers or hacks on how to at least get a call with a recruiter or hiring manager?#tech #severance #layoff
I gave a OA with all tests passing and got a rejection. Then a company emailed to apply for a role which they thought I fit for(by looking at my resume on another role), after application I got rejection email (Amazon, Microsoft) I haven’t heard of these before :(
Yeah, definitely not a great time to be looking for new job. I just don’t know how long this will go.

Sorry to hear it !! Hope you are not on Visa. Mental strength is very important, keep trying and hope for the best.

Oops, sorry for ur situation. Are u not getting any calls or not able to convert them ? 10 month is a long time. I am at month 1 and already struggling 😬

I have used some AI resume builder like tealhq and jobscan, I don’t think they are doing much apart from matching words in JD and my CV. Are you using anything else?
