Laid off for 5 months Walmart offer after faang
Was at Amazon ad walmart reached out to me. I’d need to move to Benton like Arkansas. What do you guys think? Will this look bad on my resume later?

I lived there and it is terrible. Only worth it if you are married with a bunch of kids.
I could do a year and reinterview and move back or switch teams to Sunnyvale or Seattle at least. Could save me a lot of money and ride out inflation.

Base pay is the only difference in the compensation now. So it’s worth moving to Bentonville ( unless you don’t want to live there) . Good luck.

Not a good place to be if you’re single and jumping ships every few years/climbing up the ladder. But if you want a peaceful life and have plans for family/kids in future, then I would recommend BV.

Walmart is expanding in those new areas. Why would it look bad. Living there is another story.
