Laid off in Aug, but need to go for H1B stamping
As title says, I was laid off in Aug this year, but I have choice to stay till Sept-2020 to give KT and get severance. My visa is expired and new H1B petition is approved till Aug-2021. I am planning on going to India to get it stamped, but worried about the 221G issues and possible administrative processing wait times. If I get 221g, will they contact my employer and may find out that I am being laid off and on notice period ? I am full time employee and working directly for my employer, no clients. Has anyone done this before? Also not sure, if company will allow me to work from India and pay salary while I am in administrative wait time.
Why not go back home?

Agree with you, but thinking of taking break of 1 month and start job search again next year.
I could be wrong. But don't you just have 60 days to find a new job? You sure you want to spend 30 of them outside the US?
