Laid off on stem opt. Visa expiring. Looking for advice
It’s been 3 months since I was laid off. And unfortunately with the current job market I haven’t managed to find a job! I wanted to post it out here to see if anyone who has been through a similar situation and has managed to continue to live in the US ( especially since my partner is here) Please provide some advice on what are the possible options ( education , or anything else) that I could consider! Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Try to get a job and Apply for a day 1 CPT as soon as possible.

How many years you have left on stem opt? Your best bet is to join a cap exempt employers, they can sponsor without lottery. But you’ll have to go through lottery if you want to switch to for profits though. There’s also CPT you may want to look into. Personally I’d take the non profit route.
Stem opt expires this June!!
