No need to discourage. Atleast let him/her put up a fight. It takes a lot of investment and 2 years of Master before being eligible for working here. Not to mention a new life /friends here that isn't very easy to let go. If he has not his his last day (usually they give 2-4 weeks warning) and combined that with 60 days. That's about 3 months. Totally doable if he starts early.
