Got an offer to join bloomberg as a “senior” engineer. I have 2 yoe + 3 internship + masters in CS, TC of offer is in the lower 200s. Wondering what to expect next year in terms of raises for performing within expectations if I join. #bloomberg @bloomberg

Why is it so G*damn difficult to move money out of India

Do you get higher raises when you’re new or near the bottom of the band as I would be with low YOE
When you are new the chances of getting higer raise is rare, you will get the 105% if the target bonus + 5% increase in base. It’s hard to work on impactful project it’s takes some time to get used to the domain and contribute in impactful way.
Op can I dm you about interview process etc
Sure
13% here but new TC is 67% increase at G.
Old and new tc please?
Got 24% raise this past eval, I know bb could count offer if they think u r a team star to keep talent.
bbg increase rate vs industry TC jump is a joke …
16% here but a topish performer in my group. From what I understand first couple of years they give pretty good raises then essentially match inflation after that unless you move to management or are really good
Nice! How many YOE do you have in total and at bloomberg?
Got 17% last eval
10% my first year 16% second year out of college TC 200k with inflation my raise on my second year was lower than my first year and I was probably top or second from top performer on team. I think first couple years they give you reasonable jumps in TC while they wait for your interviewing skills to atrophy, then it slows down considerably -- I certainly don't see how I can keep improving the way I did year over year with my 16% raise

Well, I’m used to that at JPMC
