I’ve been through a couple employer related relocations now and it’s always bizarre how many layers of companies are involved in relocation. That’s no real point to this post. Just sharing my observation.
Tell me more OP. Never relocated before but banking on getting it for next job so I can escape the Midwest
Your employer will hire a relocation company, so it’s like 0. Employer 1. Top level relocation company that reimburses you and/or pays for things for you 2. Service companies the relo company hire for things like household movers, car transport, air travel booking company, realtors, etc 3. Subcontractor to the above companies that will do things prepare high value items for shipment like bicycles I guess it’s not that many. It’s just annoying having to deal with so many different companies during an extremely stressful time (moving / job change)

Cute girl on the floor
Yes observed the same 😂
Such a weird industry
There was one company which sent people to only package my TV I was guessing maybe they are more efficient that way, and it kinda made sense to delegate different physical tasks to people who are good at it. But its also a hassle to talk to someone if something goes slightly wrong. You need to talk to the right people. It was a new skill I learnt 😂
